What can i use to get rid of light mildew on antique hardcovers?

They have been in the garage in boxes for 9 years. Some are antiques which belonged to my european grandparents. There may even be some first editions from hundreds of years ago. Most are still held together but I can smell mildew and see light spotting on a few books.

Try a light spray of Concrobrium on one sample and see if it does any damage. It is the best thing I have found for eliminating mildew. It does not contain bleach which would certainly damage or fade the books, and may be a good solution. You may also use damp rid or another moisture absorbent to eliminate the moisture that causes mildew.
