What color rug for my living room?

My living room is brick red with off white celing, trim and moldings. Sofas are currently a mocha color, but will probably be replaced with a tan/ beige soon. Other furniture are varying wood stains (mostly antiques). Drapery is off white. Wood floors are very light in color. I’m replacing my traditional style area rug and want a solid color. Should I do tan, brown, or brick red?
